Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Confirms More Music Acts & Entertainment for 50th Anniversary
The Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2026 has confirmed additional music acts and entertainment to mark the event’s 50th anniversary, with an eclectic range of bands and DJs announced.

Event organisers Hong Kong China Rugby previously announced that The Vengaboys will bring their electric and eclectic performance to the Cathay/HSBC Sevens on Saturday afternoon during the March-Past of local youth clubs in the stadium.

Primrose
Primrose will be the first ever K-pop act Hong Kong Sevens in 2026, as a four-member girl group, Primrose, will perform at Kai Tak Stadium on Friday, 17 April

Gwyn Dorado
Korea-based Filipino singer-songwriter Gwyn Dorado will also be performing on stage on Friday evening, 17 April.

DJ Hanna
Korean DJ Hanna is set to entertain tens of thousands of fans on Saturday, 18 April, bringing high-energy sets blending K-pop, K-hip-hop, and house music.

Hindley Street Country Club
The Australian musicians and cover act will be playing on Sunday 19 April and belting out ‘Songs of the Sevens’ to get anold-fashioned Sevens singalong going on the final day. Hindley Street Country Club’s covers on social media have drawn over 590 million YouTube views, and an audience of over 1,000,000 million subscribers globally, with 5 billion views across all social media platforms.

Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Fan Village
The 10,700 sqm Fan Village will have more than 20 DJs, bands and dance troupes performing across the weekend and is easily accessible for ticket-holders inside Kai Tak Stadium from 10:30 am each day from 17-19 April.
Visitors can also enjoy all the live Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2026 action via the big screen inside the Village with beanbag seating to further enhance the experience.
HKCR said, “The Village is also home to a plethora of fun activations and experience zones from event partners like Cathay, HSBC, and Hong Kong Jockey Club, the premium and relaxing open-air Village will feature warm up areas for the participating teams for the first time, allowing visitors to watch their favourite players (including those of the Hong Kong, China team) in final preparations before they compete inside the stadium.”
Waisale Serevi, DJ Forbes, and Tyla King will return as Official Ambassadors at the 50th Anniversary Hong Kong Sevens, and you can spot them at the Village.

Entertainment for the Fans
Fans can interact with mascot Wei Bai across the three days of action, while kids’ activities like bouncy castles and face painting will be there all weekend long.
In addition, there will be rugby clinics and mini games, three garden lounges and the signature bar of the tournament’s official beer, Carlsberg, as well as 30 concession stands including Coke, Moet, and Aperol operating inside the stadium over the 2026 Sevens weekend.

The organisers said, “As the world’s biggest rugby party celebrates its special milestone this year, fans are invited to engage with the Hong Kong Sevens Forever campaign.”
