Dragon Courier 2026 Phuket International Rugby 11s Teams

The 2026 Phuket International Rugby 11s takes place from 5-7 June at the Thanyapura Sports Club, with 26 teams involved in the three-day tournament coming from Asia, Australia, NZ and the UK.

One of the more popular social tournaments in the region, they made a switch to the 11s format a few years ago, but it still attracts a good number of Vets Men’s teams.

What we have noticed is the decline in the number of social Women’s teams post-pandemic in the region at most tournaments, and also fewer Asian-based Men’s teams play at the Phuket 11s event. The domestic Thai Rugby Union XVs season means clubs like Southerners and the Bangers are not available, nor are some of the top Thai sides.

There are teams from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Dubai, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK involved across the four divisions.
