ChildFund Rugby Ambassador Lexi Chambers – Race To Rugby World Cup 2025

ChildFund Rugby Ambassador Lexi Chambers will be embarking on a Race to Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, which is set to include a daunting 10 ultramarathons in 10 days to deliver the match whistle to the opening game in Sunderland.
ChildFund Rugby welcomed Lexi Chambers as a ChildFund Rugby Ambassador earlier in 2025. She is an army veteran, endurance athlete, and a five-time world record holder.
The organisation has run previous Race to Rugby World Cups and said of Lexi that she “has redefined resilience. Living with multiple chronic pain conditions, and using her everyday wheelchair, she has completed some of the most challenging endurance events in the world to support and inspire others.”

So, what will Lexi be attempting for the Race To Rugby World Cup 2025? From 9 – 19 August, 10 ultramarathons in 10 days in a non-sport wheelchair to deliver the match whistle for the opening game of the Rugby World Cup 2025 in Sunderland.

In June 2025, she visited Twickenham to meet the RWC 2025 team to share her story ahead of the challenge, which will also help raise awareness and funds to help young people around the world play, learn, and lead through rugby.
