Brave Blossoms Lipovitan D Tour 2025 Fixtures In Europe Confirmed
Following up on the home 2025 test schedule announced for the Brave Blossoms, the JRFU has confirmed the Brave Blossoms Lipovitan D Tour 2025 to Europe in November.
Updated September 2025
The Japanese national men’s XV team will play four fixtures on their end-of-year European tour 2025 and will take on South Africa, Ireland, Wales and Georgia across consecutive weekends in November. Both the Ireland and Wales matches will be held as part of the Autumn Nations Series. The Brave Blossoms will also face the Welsh at home twice in July 2025.
Brave Blossoms Head Coach, Eddie Jones, said, “We’re delighted to be able to finish the year with three great test matches. In terms of their work rate in attack, Ireland is the most consistent team in the world and their defence is world-class. Playing Wales in Cardiff is one of the great experiences in world rugby – nestled in the centre of city, the atmosphere is arguably the best in the world. Meanwhile, Georgia is by far the most improved team in the world – historically strong forwards are now aided by increasingly adventurous and skilled backs. This will be a fitting way for the team to finish the year with what will be a tour of a lifetime.”

In late July, it was reported by SA media that the Japanese might also play the Springboks in Brighton, on November 1st.
In August 2025, the JRFU added the fourth Test to the tour, confirming that the Brave Blossoms will take on four-time and current back-to-back World Champions South Africa at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, November 1. This historic match takes place a decade since Japan’s 34-32 upset win over South Africa at the Rugby World Cup 2015 in Brighton.

Brave Blossoms Head Coach Eddie Jones said, “The game in Brighton ten years ago changed rugby in Japan from being a minor sport to a boom sport. Playing against the Boks is the dream of every young Japanese player.”
The Brave Blossoms will play Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin for the first time in four years on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:40 local time. This will be the 13th time the two sides will face each other, and the only time Japan have won was the famous RWC 2019 pool stage win in Shizuoka.
The second tour game takes Japan to play Wales in Cardiff at Principality Stadium on Saturday, November 15, with a 17:40 KO (local time). The two sides currently occupy 12 and 13 on the World Rugby rankings, and the Welsh head coach Warren Gatland stepped down during the 2025 Six Nations. The Welsh side have lost 14 in a row before they face Ireland in the 3rd game of the championship.
The final November tour match will be at a yet-to-be-confirmed venue as Japan plays Georgia on Saturday, November 22, 2025. This will be the eighth meeting between the two sides, with Georgia last beating Japan in Miyagi in 2024, 25-23.
