HKFC Rugby Confirm Ben Siffleet as Men’s Club Coaching Officer
The HKFC Rugby Section announced the appointment of Ben Siffleet as Men’s Club Coaching Officer (CCO) to replace Logan Asplin, who has moved to coach the Hong Kong China national Men’s XV team as they prepare for the Rugby World Cup 2027.
Ben Siffleet joins with a strong coaching pedigree in New Zealand. He has taken up his position and will lead HKFC Natixis Club through the remainder of the season and beyond. He won his first game in charge in Round 7 of the Nan Fung Group | AIRSIDE Hong Kong Premiership 2025-2026 as the Men beat Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish 41-27 as players who had been on national 7s and 15s duty returned to club action.
Siffleet said via HKFC, “I am thrilled to join the Hong Kong Football Club as the Club Coach Officer. I have felt warmly welcomed by the club’s fantastic community.
I am excited to work with a talented group of players who demonstrate both passion and commitment to rugby and the club. The strong history of the club inspires me, and I look forward to contributing to its ongoing success. I would like to thank Logan for all his support and wish him all the best in his next move with the Hong Kong China Men’s XV.”

His expertise, professionalism, and passion for the game will be invaluable as we continue to drive the performance and development of the Club forward.”
The former USA 7s and 15s player, and Olympian, said, “I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Logan Asplin, whose promotion to the HKCR Men’s XV is richly deserved. Logan’s commitment and contribution have been instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition, and his efforts have set the stage for Ben to step into the role with clarity and momentum. Logan Asplin said of his successor, “It’s awesome to see another coach take their first role in full-time coaching and I am sure Ben will continue the success of the club over the last few seasons. He’s already shown his proactive and dedicated approach and I look forward to seeing him settle and shine in the role.”
