Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Title Sequences Commissioned by 16 Female Artists From Participating Nations
At the second weekly media conference for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, World Rugby confirmed the title sequences used at the record-breaking Women’s tournament are inspired by female artists from the 16 participating nations.
World Rugby said the tournament organisers aimed to create opening titles “that celebrate the power of art and sport, uniting creative and athletic excellence on the global stage,” and commissioned artists from each of the participating nations at RWC 2025 to create unique title sequences.
Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 Managing Director Sarah Massey said: “The title sequence for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 is a worldwide collaboration of ideas and designs. Each artwork is unique, yet they come seamlessly together to form a powerful, unified celebration of women’s rugby. We always said Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 would not only celebrate the players but showcase women who are inspiring and contributing to the tournament around the world.”
World Rugby collaborated with AE Live Ignite and HBS, who led the creative development and production of the title sequence to create bespoke artwork that celebrates “both the spirit of the game and the unique identity of their home team, with one unifying requirement: every design had to feature an oval shape at its centre.”
HBS said, “After an electrifying kickoff weekend, the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 has come alive with unforgettable moments, one of which was the broadcast of the impactful title sequence celebrating women’s rugby and all the cultures.
We are incredibly proud to have partnered with World Rugby and title designer AE Live to create this piece that was brought to life by talented female artists from each of the 16 participating countries, capturing the rich cultural identities and vibrant creative energy of the women competing on the world stage.
This title sequence is a powerful example of how intentional, thoughtful design can elevate a broadcast, setting the tone for unforgettable moments both on and off the field.”
