Get Excited For The HKFC Youth 10s 2026
The HKFC Youth 10s 2026 is a rebrand of the previously known Youth International Cup, and takes place from 11-12 April in the lead-up to the 50th Anniversary Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2026, with age-grades from U5-U18 playing competitive games in Hong Kong.
The tournament precedes the world-famous Rugby Week, with matches due to be played at HKFC grounds and surrounding areas in Causeway Bay. Last year saw a phenomenal 250 minis and youth-grade rugby teams involved.
The U5-U7 group will play non-contact rugby in a 1-day festival format on Sunday 12 April, while the U8-U18 age grades will be playing in a competitive contact 2-day format in what is hoped to become the Biggest and Best youth rugby tournament on the annual calendar.

Local and International Teams Set to Compete
In 2025, international teams from Singapore and Malaysia joined the more than 20 Hong Kong clubs to help evolve the growth and appeal of the tournament.
The HKFC Youth 10s provides visiting players and those from the locally based Hong Kong clubs to enjoy competitive action, while the tournament in 2026 is planned to offer a few soon-to-be-announced surprises and special appearances.
Confirmed teams from overseas already surpass 2025. Among those are the Ronin’s HS 7s, a US-based Non-Profit Rugby organisation dedicated to the promotion of rugby by providing youth opportunities to play 7’s at competitions, who will be bringing a U18 side to the tournament.
From Australia, Renegades 32 Rugby 7s will bring U14 & U16 Girls sides & a U15 Boys team to the HKFC Youth 10s. The club is based on the Gold Coast and was established in 2017 to provide a clear pathway from grassroots participation to elite performance through camps, competitions and tournaments. The Renegades had several representatives in the Australian Youth & Australian School Girls 7s teams, which competed at the Global Youth at the end of 2025.

From the Asian region, from Singapore, the Tanglin Rugby is sending U6, U8 and U10 teams in their debut showing, and the SCC (Singapore Cricket Club) is returning and also sending sides for a strong Singaporean presence. KL Tigers will also be back this year and will be representing Malaysia to take on challengers in Hong Kong.
