HKFC announced that as part of the tournament’s 40th anniversary, the competition is expanding to three days, with an opening ceremony at 4 PM on Tuesday, 14 April, with the first of 8 womens matches kicking off at 4:45 pm, and the tournament will run until Thursday, April 16th, 2026.
As previously announced, in collaboration with Hong Kong China Rugby and the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the HKFC 10s will be a key part of Hong Kong Rugby and Racing Week.
Tradition Is HKFC 10s Title Sponsor Until 2028

The Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC) and the organising committee for the HKFC 10s confirmed that title sponsor, Tradition, has extended its partnership through to 2028, meaning the tournament will be billed as the Tradition HKFC 10s for three more editions
Adrian Bell, Group CEO for Tradition Asia, commented, “We are incredibly proud to continue our partnership with the HKFC Rugby 10s. This tournament embodies the spirit of fierce competition, camaraderie, and global connection—values that resonate strongly with Tradition.
HKFC has continued to attract some of the best rugby talent from around the world and has produced a tournament that is very tough to win. By extending our commitment for three more years, we are investing in the continued growth of this platform for rugby excellence.”
Organisers said that Tradition’s support is “vital in ensuring HKFC can continue to bring elite rugby players to Hong Kong, deliver an unparalleled spectator experience, and invest in the grassroots development of the sport.”
Paul Skurr, Rugby Section Chairman, added, “Tradition has been more than just a sponsor; they are a true partner. Their commitment over the next three years provides the stability necessary for us to innovate, grow the tournament, and ensure it remains the premier Tens competition in the world.
Adrian not only provides the financial support for the tournament, but he is behind one of the formidable team competitors, Tradition YCAC. We look forward to welcoming them back in April 2026 to defend their Cup title, against a full line-up of world class teams from around the globe.”

Women’s Competition to Kick Off Tradition HKFC 10s 2026
The expanded three-day edition of the HKFC 10s 2026 will see 8 women’s matches get the tournament underway. The Women’s section was introduced in 2023 as a world-class platform for elite female athletes and has seen several capped 7s and 15s players involved from several countries, and players who have competed at the Olympic Games and the Rugby World Cup.
Head of Women’s Rugby at HKFC, Hannah Edwards said, “We are really excited to have the tournament open with the spotlight on women’s rugby. The competition has developed to such a high standard that it’s now a real platform for our game’s top players to showcase their talent.
We’re looking forward to hosting as much of the local rugby community as possible for the opening ceremony and a great evening of rugby”.

It was also confirmed that Oxford University RFC will make their debut at the tournament and will travel to Hong Kong once they have participated in a tour to Laos, where they will be engaged in the Pass it Back program, run by ChildFund Rugby.
Women’s Club Captain Chloe-Marie Hawley said, “Competing at the HKFC 10s is both a privilege and a responsibility. We’re proud to represent Oxford Women’s University Rugby and the values of respect, ambition and shared growth that define our club.
It’s a real honour for Oxford Women’s Blues to compete at the HKFC 10s 40th Anniversary tournament. To line up alongside leading teams from across Asia and beyond, as the only European side in the women’s competition, it is a remarkable opportunity for our program”.
