The Perlis Royal 7s rugby tournament is also happening from 13-14 July 2019 in Malaysia. This rugby 7s tournament is organised by Persatuan Ragbi Perlis Baru, known as Perlis Rugby.

According to Ragbi Online, the tournament has featured the following divisions:
- Schools
- Under 21
- Open
In last years tournament, the Malaysian men’s national team took part and comfortably won the Open Cup, beating 7 other teams to the title.
There are a number of rugby tournaments across Malaysia and Asia this month, in particular, 7s rugby tournaments.
